| 1. How much does
it cost to join the agency? |
| Registration
is totally free. |
2. How much
do you take out of my wages? |
Absolutely nothing.
We will quote a rate to you before you start
work and this is the rate you will be paid.
Our only stoppages are for tax and national
insurance. |
| 3. Am I paid weekly
or monthly? |
While you are
employed by BJR Recruitment, your wages
will be paid weekly and directly into your
personal bank account via bacs. |
| 4. Do I get any
holidays? |
You get 8 statutory
days (Bank Holidays) 2 weeks to take when
you like (as long as company agrees). 2
rest days or discretionary days. These are
accrued at 1.66 days per month. |
| 5. Do I have to
work a week in hand? |
No, we would
prefer to call it “a week in arrears”
Basically, this means that what ever you
work this week will always be paid the following
week. |
| 6. Is transport
provided? |
In some cases
yes, though most of our clients are quite
local, we do have some that require us to
provide transport and this will be discussed
before work starts. |
| 7. Do I get shift
allowance? |
| This will be
clearly stated before starting work. Most
companies we deal with DO pay shift allowance
and this is usually indicated with the rate
of pay you were quoted before taking the
job. Company’s rates of pay differ
so if you are in any doubt – Ring
us. (Include free phone number) |
| 8. Do you pay
overtime? |
| Yes. Overtime
is usually paid at time and a half and double
time, but please be sure to ask us before
starting work, as again, most of our clients
differ with their rates of pay. |
| 9. Will I have
a payslip? |
| YES, A payslip
will be supplied on a Thursday.
Remember, your money will only reach your
bank account on a Friday. |
| 10. Do I need
safety equipment? |
In most cases,
we will state whether or not you will need
safety equipment before commencing employment.
If safety equipment is needed, we can supply
anything you need for a small and very reasonable
cost, which we will take from your first
week’s wages. (Optional). |
